Description
21" (53 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with pale bisque and blushed cheeks, blue glass sleep eyes, dark painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open, shaded lips, blonde painted baby hair, composition bent limb baby body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D Lori 1 (incised) S&C Geschutz (green stamp). Comments: Swaine and Co., circa 1915. Value Points: excellent detail of modeling enhanced by lovely bisque and painting, original body and body finish.
