33" (84 cm.) Vinyl head with uniquely sculpted character features, painted large blue eyes with glazed overcoat, unusual painting of upper lashes, closed mouth, blonde curly hair, softly stuffed cloth body and upper arms and legs, vinyl lower arms and legs, wearing original organdy dress with red ribbon banding and embroidered cherry motif, cotton slip and panties, socks, red vinyl shoes, necklace. Marks: Alexander (doll) Barbara Jane Alexander (costume). Excellent condition with beautiful rosy cheeks and exquisite painting of features, original costume. Alexander, the Barbara Jane model was made for one year only, 1952, although only a 29" model was advertised; this larger size is virtually unknown.
