Description
8" (20 cm.) Hard plastic socket head, sleep eyes, curly blonde wig, seven piece body with bendable walking legs, wearing aqua and cream striped taffeta gown in the 1860 style with lace trim, cotton petticoat with embroidered nylon border, pants, socks, black snap shoes, black straw bonnet with upturned front and back centering a cluster of berries and flowers, earrings. Marks: Alex (doll) Alexander-kins (costume). Excellent condition, complexion and costume a bit faded but unplayed with. Alexander, Southern Belle, featured on the cover of the 1956 "Dolls are Little People" catalog.
