Description
8" (20 cm.) Each of six dolls has hard plastic head, sleep eyes, hair in ornate and original coiffure, seven piece body with bendable knees and walking legs, and is wearing original costume. Marks: Alex (doll) (name of character and Alexander on costume). In fine unplayed with condition, the complete set features Marme, Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy and Laurie from the Little Women series, each with original wrist booklet, and preserved in original box, the girls in boxes labeled "781" and Laurie in box labeled "Laurie 755". Four boxes have original store labels from F.A.O. Schwarz, and Marme has original price tag of $7 on Lord & Taylor label. Alexander, circa 1958.
