Description
13" (33 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead inclined downward, sculpted brown hair casually drawn back into loosely coiled topknot with tendrils falling onto shoulders, deeply-set sockets, enamel eyes, smiling expression, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and red clogs, wearing original costume. Figure is excellent, costume original albeit very frail. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
