23" (58 cm.) All-cloth doll with flat-dimensional face, oil-painted complexion and shaded short blonde curly hair with ringlet curls, painted brown eyes, one-stroke brows, outlined nose, closed mouth with accent line between the shaded lips, stitch-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, oil-painted lower arms, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American, circa 1885. Value Points: well-preserved folk doll with artfully-rendered facial portrait of child.
