10" (25 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead, bald pate with shaded hair stubble at back of head, deeply-sculpted black side burns, enamel eyes, thickly painted brows, incised age lines, ruddy nose tip and cheeks, closed mouth, tinted beard stubble, tow-wrapped posable armature body, painted wooden lower arms and legs, painted dark blue stockings, brown shoes with black bows, original silk costume. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
