Description
6" (15 cm.) One-piece all-bisque figure of seated Kewpie, his knees drawn up and his head resting on hands, in the manner of Rodin's famous stature, "The Thinker" upon which it was based. Kewpie has classic topknot, forelock, blue wings and side-glancing googly eyes. Incised O'Neill on feet and with original heart paper label on back. Germany, circa 1915.
