Description
5" (13 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, pale blue glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with upturned lip corners, accented lips, pierced ear, blonde mohair wig over cork pate. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F (head) G (shoulderplate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his smiling face poupee was deposed in 1872. Value Points: an especially beautiful example of the model with beguiling expression, finest bisque and painting.
