Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque elongated and slender torso, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with wide center accent line, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, peg-jointed shoulders and hips, ball-jointed elbows, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bte. Comments: Fernand Sustrac, who deposed his unique system of jointed elbows on all-bisque dolls in 1877. Value Points: very rare early mignonette with jointed elbows, bare feet, original wig and costume, and very beautiful face.
