9" (23 cm.) All-wooden doll with one-piece head and torso, elongated neck, painted black hair with shaded curls framing her forehead and spit curls above each ear, carved yellow tuck comb at her crown, painted brown eyes with upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, bow-shaped lips, blushed cheeks, shapely bosom and tiny waist, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted red shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1840. Value Points: wonderful state of preservation, the doll has original painting, and is wearing her original costume comprising black taffeta gown with lace trim, beaded necklace and earrings, undergarments.
