18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, feathered lashes, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with upturned corners, accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid body with gusset-jointing, wooden arms with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, and wrists, separately-carved fingers. Condition: generally excellent, body very sturdy with few patches on kid. Marks: G (head and shoulderplate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his deposed poupee model of 1872. Value Points: especially beautiful face of this model with superb painting, wooden arms, and wearing lovely antique silk costume, undergarments, leather shoes.
