17" (43 cm.) Felt head with center seam, outlined eyes with black bead center, protruding nose, tiny closed mouth with painted moustache, painted brown hair, stitched large ears, very elongated and slender body and limbs with jointing at shoulders and hips, stitched-on navy blue felt policeman's uniform with brass buttons on chest and red collar and trim, matching cap, very over-sized feet with black shoes. Condition: very good, few tiny moth holes in face. Marks: Steiff (early button in ear). Comments: Steiff, circa 1910. Value Points: well-preserved uniform on the early doll.
