18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head with plump cheeks and strong throat, on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, deeply-set eye sockets with heavy eyelids, thick black upper eyeliner, painted all-around lashes, blue painted eyes with darker blue outer rims and decorative glaze at the lower eyes, arched feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with outlined and accented lips, unpierced ears, wheat blonde mohair wig over cork pate, slender wooden body with swivel waist, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees, metal hands, antique costume, undergarments, stocks, shoes. Condition: bisque head and shoulderplate are excellent, body is French of the era albeit not original. Comments: Adelaide Huret, circa 1860. Value Points: especially beautiful model with wonderfully painted features and softly-blushed complexion.
