13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderhead, blue glass inset eyes with darker blue outer rims, dark eyeliner, rose blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, painted lashes and nostrils, closed mouth with upturned lip corners as though smiling, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset jointing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: C (head and shoulderplate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his distinctive model was deposed in 1872. Value Points: beautiful face enhanced by finest complexion and painting, sturdy original body, original costume.
