Description
21" (53 cm.) x 30" frame. 7"-8" costumes. Twelve costumes and one doll are presented in the framed arrangement under glass; some costumes illustrated and painted by the artist and others are hand-painted from printed images. Each costume is accompanied by a finely-lettered note indicating the name of the costume and its year of appearance such as "worn at the Fancy Ball at Carlton House July 15 1819" and "Court Dress 1822". Excellent condition. English, early 1800s.
