17" (43 cm.) h. 14"w. The wooden entrance with painted ivory over gesso finish features two ribbed columns centering a pair of hinged open-lattice doors, with carved architectural details at the side and a regal crest featuring two cherubs clasping a crown. Excellent condition. Germany, Spielwaren, 1950s, the gateway is decorated with gilt accents, and would display perfectly with small French poupees or mignonettes.
