28" (71 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead with strong throat, black sculpted hair with centerpart waved behind her ears into long curls onto her shoulders, painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, aquiline-shaped nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with stern lips, kid slender torso and upper arms and legs, carved wooden arms and legs, painted green shoes, wearing antique gown, undergarments and woven bonnet. Condition: very good, craquelure at sides of shoulders and hair, body is sturdy with patching on upper arms. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: rare grand size with excellent detail of expression and hair. The doll was featured in the Mary Merritt Doll Museum.
