15" (38 cm.) All-wooden doll with one-piece head and torso, elongated neck, painted black hair with feathered curls framing her forehead, carved tuck comb at her crown, painted brown eyes, accented nostrils, bow-shaped lips, blushed cheeks, pierced ears, shapely bosom and tiny waist, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted red shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1840. Value Points: well-preserved early wooden doll with deeply sculpted brushmarks of hair, fine original finish, original earrings.
