20" (51 cm.) Bisque swivel head with articulation allowing the head to tilt side to side and forward as well as swivel, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, ears pierced into head, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset jointing at hips, knees and elbows, lovely costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1867, the doll has rare neck articulation allowing very realistic posing of the head, based on the 1867 depose of Dehors. Value Points: very beautiful doll with finest delicate bisque complemented by brilliant cobalt blue eyes.
