Pale bisque socket head with very round face, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted short curly lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils of rounded tip nose, accented eye corners, closed mouth with pale outlined lips that are upturned at the corners into a dainty smile, row of painted teeth, deeply impressed dimples at cheeks, pierced ears, extended-length red mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition body with jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, and knees. Condition: nearly imperceptible tiny hairline at right side forehead with professional restoration, otherwise excellent. Marks: Sie F 6 (incised) Steiner S.G.D.G. Paris Bourgoin (red ink signature). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1884. Value Points: extremely rare model of Steiner bebe whose large size allows very fine detail of sculpting such as nose shape, philtrum, and dimples, beautiful pale bisque and painting, original body and body finish, lovely antique costume.
