28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, mauve blushed eye shadow, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, defined philtrum and chin dimples, separately-modeled pierced ears, extended-length brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, some body retouch. Marks: 13 (and artist checkmarks on head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1882. Value Points: very deep and luminous paperweight eyes enhanced by fine painting of lashes and eye shadow
