Bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, delicately-painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, rose-blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 11 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (torso). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1882. Value Points: the wistful expression is beautifully-achieved on this beloved Bebe Triste, and enhanced by finest delicate bisque, original body and body finish, wearing beautiful antique lace dress, chiffon ruffled bonnet with satin bows, socks, leather shoes signed "Paris Depose 11" with bee symbol.
