Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) and 5 1/2". Each is all-bisque with rich black complexion, swivel head on bisque torso, glass eyes; including smaller doll with closed mouth, rounded nose, black fleecy hair, peg-jointed arms and legs, bisque bare feet, wearing parlor maid uniform, by Gebruder Kuhnlenz; and larger doll with open mouth, tiny teeth, fleecy black hair, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted pink stockings and black one-strap shoes, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1900. Value Points: beautiful complexions on the rare-to-find models, rarity factors include bare feet and pink stockings.
