Description
Each of wood with original painted ivory over gesso finish and is decorated with appliqued gilt and floral designs, including 8" calliope with hinged lid to hollow interior and hand-wind knob at the side which creates the music; 6" pedestal upon which are posed three cherubs with gilt lyres, centering a candle stand, and which, when wound, revolves around and plays "Happy Birthday"; and 3 1/2" dainty pen holder with music box and original feathered pen. Condition: generally excellent, music functions well on calliope and candle holder, music needs adjustment on pen holder. Marks: (each has original Reuge music box label). Comments: Spielwaren with Reuge music box, 1950s.
