11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head with white complexion and painted clown decorations, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth, bi-color mohair wig, French paper mache body jointed at shoulders and hips, wearing bi-color silk clown costume. Condition: generally excellent, head and body not original. Marks: E 4 D Depose (head) Le Petit Parisien Bebe Steiner (body). Comments: Etienne Denamur, circa 1890. Value Points: wonderful expression with great decorations and hair.
