23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with shaded lips, incised dimple at philtrum and chin, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, French composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed in lace dress. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris Fre A 15 (head) J. Steiner (with image of doll, original paper label). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890. Value Points: finest quality bisque with beautifully-painted complexion, original body and body finish.
