16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, modeled bosom and shoulderplate, bright blue glass paperweight inset eyes with dark iris rims, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with painted teeth between the slightly-parted outlined lips, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at hips, knees and elbows, bisque lower arms and hands. Condition: generally excellent, some darkening of body, kid patch on right leg. Marks: Bte SGDG (high on forehead) (circle dot symbol). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1880. Value Points: especially fine modeling, pale complexion dramatized by splendid eyes, original body and perfect bisque hands.
