24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, shaded and accented lips, impressed philtrim and chin dimple, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition and wooden fully-jointed body, nicely costumed in mariner style ensemble. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner, Fre A 17 Paris (incised) Le Parisien... (red stamp). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890. Value Points: pretty child with lovely complexion and painting, original body and body finish.
