17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with swivel head, firmly-pressed and oil-painted facial features, blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, original brunette mohair bobbed wig, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kamkins...(stamp on torso). Comments: Kamkins, circa 1930s, the doll was made by American designer Louise Kampes and sold in her boutique in Atlantic City. Value Points: depicting the classic American child of the 1930s, the doll is wearing an unusual original costume of purple fleecy flannel jacket and pants with matching cap having leatherette brim, shoes, socks.
