10" (25 cm.) Paper mache head with highly-stylized features depicting Uncle Same with pointy chin, painted blue eyes, painted smiling mouth with teeth, sculpted grey beard and brows, attached top hat, wooden torso and lower limbs, seated on a paper mache bunny with brown flocked finish, amber glass eyes, open mouth, green ribbon on neck, and with removable head for access to candy container torso. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1915. Value Points: rare candy container with wonderful Uncle Sam theme, he with original stars and stripes costume and carrying US flag with 48 stars of 1912.
