The oval paper mache Easter egg designed for use as candy container separates at the middle for access to paper-lined interior, and is covered on the exterior with rose silk having a hand-painted scene of a bunny and goose in deep negotiations about the goose's eggs. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1890, the whimsical theme is softened by delicate colors of scenery.
