Description
25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, painted eye corners and shaded nostrils, closed mouth, shaded and outlined lips, separately modeled-pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose 12 (incised, with artist marks) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1882, the "depose" model was made for a very short time only. Value Points: very fine luminous bisque on the rare model, original body and body finish.
