21" (53 cm.) Solid domed paper mache shoulderhead, black painted pate, black glass enamel eyes, eyeliner, painted lashes, faint stroke brows, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, French kid poupee body. Condition: very good, original painted finish with some fading, few body repairs. Comments: Germany, for the French market, circa 1860. Value Points: the early doll is wearing original summer gown, undergarments, leather shoes, bonnet.
