19" (48 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel inset eyes with darker blue iris rims, dark eyeliner, mauve blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, painted lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, all-wooden body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, swivel jointing at wrists and deluxe swivel jointing at upper arms and legs allowing greater positioning. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5. Comments: Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1875, the facial model evolved into the premiere bebe of Emile Jumeau. Value Points: especially fine quality of bisque, complexion and painting, rare wooden body with extra articulation, antique costume included.
