Description
15" (38 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead, elongated strong throat, black sculpted hair with arranged high topknot encircled by narrow coiled braids, arranged curls at each side of head, painted blue eyes, upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, tiny closed mouth, slender kid body, wooden lower arms and legs, painted yellow shoes, costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: fine state of preservation, original finish well preserved, elaborate coiffure with added detail of painted curls onto forehead.
