9 1/2" (24 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead, black sculpted hair arranged with high topknot and side pouf curls, painted large blue eyes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth, slender kid body, wooden lower arms and legs, painted red shoes. Condition: very good, original finish, some light craquelure on shoulderplate. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: rare coiffure and original body, original black silk gown, undergarments.
