7" (18 cm.) Felt swivel head, pressed and painted facial features, side-glancing blue eyes, painted upper lashes, dash brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, red wool yarn hair in tightly-arranged curls, felt torso with jointing at shoulders and hips, outstretched arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci, Made in Italy 276 (box label) Lenci made in Italy (white woven label). Comments: Lenci, circa 1928, the model appeared in an early Lenci catalog, named "Cupido", model 276. Value Points: rare Cupid figure with delightful felt costume with embroidered hearts, red-strapped yellow boots, red gloves, felt wings, and carrying wooden bow and arrow in a wooden-decorated sheath filled with more arrows.
