Description
9" (23 cm.) Felt swivel head, pressed and painted facial features, brown side-glancing eyes, painted curly lashes, "O" shaped mouth, black mohair stitched-on wig with long braid, muslin torso and jointed legs, jointed felt arms. Wearing red felt toreador costume comprising short pants with wrapped sash, fitted vest, bolero jacket, and cape with black felt upper layer edged in gilt metallic, with black felt hat having pom-pom accents, black felt shoes and gold bangle earrings. Condition: excellent, some fading. Comments: Lenci, from the Miniature series, early 1930s. Value Points: well-detailed construction of the complicated costume.
