27" (69 cm.) Felt head with slender oval face and pressed facial features, narrow brown side-glancing eyes with heavy eyelids, dark eyeliner and painted lower lashes, arched brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with hint of smile, painted teeth, black weft-stitched wig in long braids, elongated throat, torso and limbs, jointing at shoulders, hips and knees, high heel posed feet. Wearing felt harem style costume comprising green shirt with embroidered details, fitted brown jacket with colorful and gold metallic embroidery, long sash with tassels, cream felt harem pants and matching elaborately folded turban cap, embroidered slippers with upturned toes, and carrying wooden pipe with painted details. Condition: very good, some moth holes at lower torso and ankles, light fading on costume. Comments: Lenci, model 567, the doll was featured in the 1929 catalog and shown in Lenci The History and the Dolls by Nancy Lazenby, page 153 in the category of extremely rare dolls.
