Description
16 1/2" (42 cm.) Felt swivel head with slender oval shape, elongated throat, pressed and painted facial features, wide-eyed brown side-glancing eyes, painted curly upper lashes, fringed brows, grey eye shadow, closed mouth, accented lower lip, weft-stitched blonde tousled mohair curls, long slender felt torso and limbs, jointing at shoulders and hips. Wearing orange felt dress with dropped waist, double-tiered very full skirt, wide sash, cowl neck with ties at back, undergarments socks shoes, felt flowers in hair. Condition: doll excellent with small smear over left eye, costume is faded with few moth holes. Comments: Lenci, series 400/E, the doll was shown in the 1926 catalog named "Flammetta" with ringlet curls rather than tousled curls. Value Points: stylized flapper era teen-ager, the series was made for three years only, and the dolls are hard to find.
