Description
13" (33 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed facial features, large brown side-glancing eyes, black upper eyeliner and curly lashes, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with two accent dots on lower lip, weft-stitched auburn mohair fleecy wig, felt torso and legs, jointing at shoulders and hips, two middle fingers stitched together. Wearing red felt coat with black felt accents, matching cap with diamond-shape felt inserts, matching shoes with black edging, socks, organdy petticoat and undergarment and fluffy wool muff. Condition: generally excellent, two small moth holes at back. Marks: (original paper label). Comments: Lenci, series 111, 1926/1927. Value Points: captivating impish expression, wonderful hair, and beautifully-preserved vibrant costume on the early series doll.
