Description
19" (48 cm.) Sculpted magnesit head with oil-painted hair and facial features, brown baby hair and brows, blue painted eyes with black and brown upper eyeliner, closed mouth, cloth ring neck, heavily-weighted stockinette body with loosely-attached arms and legs to achieve infant-like body pose, knit baby suit. Condition: generally excellent, some light spotting on arms and legs. Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1935, the weighted models were created as hospital teaching tools for nurses. Value Points: fine original condition of the "real weight" infant baby.
