12" (30 cm.) Felt head depicting a pompous gentleman, pressed facial features with very plump double chin, painted side-glancing small brown eyes, comma brows, large nose, small closed mouth with accented lower lip, white rooted hair in formal peruke manner, attached to red felt cougle-collared coat with ruffled jabot which disguises hollow torso designed for use as hand puppet play, and with black tricorn hat, brown felt satchel, and carrying a riding crop. Condition: excellent. Marks: Lenci (silver foil and cloth labels). Comments: Lenci, 1935, series 335, the same character was also made as an egg cozy (see #99) and in a larger size as tea cozy. Value Points: the stern-faced man is well-preserved, with original accessories and two original labels.
