12" (30 cm.) Poured wax head demurely tilted downward, downcast painted eyes, brunette mohair up-swept wig, very slender elongated body with padded armature to allow stylish pose, painted boots, posed on velvet-covered base. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: made in France (paper label). Comments: French, Medames Lafitte-Desirat, circa 1912, from a series of dolls illustrating contemporary fashion of the early 20th century. Value Points: the elegant lady wears green velvet dress with faux-fur trim at the hem, and is posed to allow "swishing" of the skirt, with matching oversized faux-fur stole and muff, and with green-bead-tasseled purse.
