Description
19" (48 cm.) Felt swivel head, pressed facial features, blue glass "flirty" googly eyes, long painted curly lashes and short arched brows, accented nostrils, "O" shaped closed mouth, blonde stitched-on hair in elongated braid that is loosely coiled at the back of head, felt body and limbs, tab jointed arms, disc-jointed legs. Wearing fitted long jacket with soutache toggle closures, russet brown full skirt with brown, green and yellow applique strips, matching reticule, cotton hoop petticoat with cutwork felt border, matching pantalets, black felt shoes, green felt tam, and carrying white fluffy pup with black bead eyes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (silver foil and cloth labels). Comments: Lenci, mid/late 1930s. Value Points: striking doll with lavishly arranged hair, complete with original accessories including pup.
