Description
17" (43 cm.) Felt swivel head, pressed and painted facial features, very plump face with scowling expression, narrow brown painted side-glancing eyes, painted curly lashes, grey eye shadow, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, felt torso and limbs, jointing at shoulders and hips, mitten style hands with jointed fingers. Wearing navy blue felt sailor costume with pale blue cuffs and middy collar, socks, black shoes, and white sailor cap. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Lenci, late 1920s, series 1500. Value Points: wonderful expression and quality of felt and painting, rare costume.
