Description
14" (36 cm.) All cloth doll of unique production with smooth complexion, socket head with plump cheeks, painted brown upper-glancing large round eyes, painted long curly lashes, white eye dots, accented nostrils of rounded nose, "O" shaped mouth, rosy cheeks, bright blonde mohair wig with yellow organdy bow, five-piece smooth-finished cloth body with jointing at shoulders and hips, extended hands. Wearing yellow organdy dress with puffed sleeves, felt applique flowers and felt collar, yellow felt shoes. Condition: excellent. Marks: Lenci (silver foil label). Comments: Lenci, the model "Kiki" from the Prosperity series was made for one year only, 1936. Value Points: outstanding doll in superbly preserved condition of face, wig, body and costume; This doll appeared on the cover of Doll News, Fall 2006, and is shown in Lenci, The History and the Dolls by Nancy Lazenby, page 142 where it was described as "the rarest and most desirable Prosperity Baby".
