10" (25 cm.) Felt head with pressed and painted facial features, painted brown eyes, painted lashes, grey eye shadow, closed mouth with wide smiling expression, painted teeth, attached to red felt purse with clown costume featuring blue feet, yellow felt collar and ruffled cuffs, striped jester cap, and red handle. Condition: excellent. Marks: Lenci (silver foil tag). Comments: Lenci, late 1930s, the novelty accessory utilized the same model face as the character Pan doll. The purse is shown in Lenci, The History and the Dolls by Nancy Lazenby, page 159. Value Points: perfect state of preservation and vibrantly colorful.
