19 1/2" (50 cm.) Felt swivel head, pressed and painted facial features, pale blue side-glancing eyes with decorative glaze, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blonde stitched-on wig with bangs and long braids, felt torso and limbs, jointing at shoulders and hips. Wearing black satin pinafore dress with multi-tiered ruffled organdy sleeves, and collar, green scalloped edging on skirt, felt floral applique on skirt front, organdy slip and panties, socks, red felt shoes, red felt hat and bows. Condition: excellent. Comments: Lenci, from the series of "new look" dolls introduced in the 1933 catalog, this doll from the series named Giuliana; an identical costume was created for their Gherda 130 series of the same era. Value Points: very dear shy expression is contrasted by vibrant design and color of the costume.
